Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who captivated audiences with her mesmerizing dance in the song "Oo Antava" from Allu Arjun’s "Pushpa: The Rise," is reportedly being replaced by the young actress Sreeleela in the sequel, "Pushpa 2: The Rule." The upcoming sequel is rumored to feature a special dance number, and Sreeleela is anticipated to bring her unique charm to the song.
Known for her standout performance in the item number of "Pushpa: The Rise," Samantha reportedly commanded a hefty fee of Rs 5 crore for her appearance in "Oo Antava." However, recent reports indicate that Sreeleela has been chosen for the dance number in "Pushpa 2" and has quoted a fee of Rs 2 crore for her participation. Interestingly, Sreeleela has previously shared screen space with Allu Arjun in an advertisement.
Directed by Sukumar, the highly awaited "Pushpa 2: The Rule" is scheduled for release on August 15, 2024. The film boasts a star-studded cast including Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and others. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar under the banners of Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, the movie reportedly carries a budget of Rs 500 crore. The music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, with Miroslaw Kuba Brozek handling cinematography and Karthika Srinivas and Ruben serving as editors.
Sreeleela, the rumored addition to "Pushpa 2," is currently starring in "Guntur Karam," alongside Mahesh Babu. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film was released on January 12, 2024, and has emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film globally in 2024, garnering widespread acclaim. The movie also features Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ramya Krishna, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu, and others, with a budget of Rs 200 crore.
